Dinosaurs for everyone
I have a three year old daughter. One of the things you realise when you become a parent is how many things are ‘supposed to be’ for boys and girls. Boys are supposed to like cars and trucks and blue. Girls are supposed to like frills and princesses and the colour pink. There also seems to be a general assumption that dinosaurs are for boys. All of these assumptions are ridiculous as far as I’m concerned. That’s how the idea for this poem began.
