This poem exists thanks to my daughter. At the moment she can’t quite pronounce the word music like ‘m-you-sik’. Instead she says ‘mooo-sik’. The moo sound made me think of cows! All I had to do then was work out what kind of music other animals liked.
TO RHYME OR NOT TO RHYME
A lot of my poems rhyme but this time I felt it was more important to just play with words. There is still a rhythm to the lines but no rhyme. What other animals are there? What kind of music or other pastime would they like? Why don’t you have a go?
One of the pleasures of this project for me (Myles) is that I’m not sure which of the poems I’ve written Wilm is going to choose to illustrate each week. When they arrive in my inbox I can’t wait to see what Wilm has drawn. This week was no different and I was thrilled to see these hilarious illustrations. This is too much fun!
